Back to Card Making

After moving and having a baby, I now have some time to get back to card making. I can work on little bits of cards when CJ is sleeping. My latest card was inspired by the newest Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration challenge.

I have a collection of embossing folders, but I rarely use ink on them. As I made this birthday card for my brother, I decided to use a tone-on-tone ink and card stock for the bricks. The result is subtle, but I like it for the background of the card.

Welcome CJ!

I am overdue to some updates to the blog, and I will start with the big one. Carolyn Jane (CJ) was born on July 19th at 7:54 AM at 7 pounds and 19.5 inches long. We are settling into life as a family of four and enjoying our daughter.

Here is she is on the afternoon on July 19th.

She likes to be swaddled. Pictured on 8/2/17.

She is not a huge fan of baths yet. Pictured on 8/5/17.

We have a wiggly baby! This cute onesie is from our friend Kim. Pictured 8/13/17.

On Carolyn's one month birthday, we started moving into a new rental house. It is a little crazy to move with a newborn, but it has been a good move for us. We are closer to Alex's school and John's office, and we have friends in this neighborhood. We were also fortunate to have family visiting to help.

It is hard to put down my sleeping baby, which means that it takes longer to get our unpacking done. Sometimes the dishes and laundry have to wait. Pictured 9/2/17.
