A Boy Who Knows What He Wants

I had a few minutes to chat with Alex's teacher when I picked him up on Friday afternoon. Lately we have been talking about how Alex is eating and the topic of the day's lunch came up. They had enchilada casserole, beans and peaches. Alex ate a few bites of the casserole and then his teacher tried to feed him a bean. He shook his head "no" when he saw the bean on his spoon and pointed to the peaches. He knew that's what he wanted.

We have been feeding Will carrots this weekend in addition to his oatmeal. He seems to like them, but once we try fruits, I'm a little worried that his sweet tooth will kick in!

Alex did not become a picky eater until we started transitioning him to table food. He still ate veggies after he started on fruits.

I think that Alex is now mainly "slow to warm up" to new foods and textures. This week he did eat some pieces of tomato at school. He eats well for one of the student workers at the daycare, and he teacher thinks that he may have a crush on her :)
