I went out to lunch today with some co-workers to Taqueria Aguascalientes, which is a little Mexican restaurant near campus. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, and it is usually packed. Gotta love Tex-Mex and all the little taquerias around San Antonio!
Somehow we got on the topic of the movie Cars. John and I had seen Cars in the theatres, and we really enjoyed it. (It's ok to go see Disney movies without kids.) This got me thinking about some of the other movies that I have seen relatively recently and enjoyed. Pursuit of Happyness and Akeelah and the Bee come to mind.
Here is a quote by Marianne Williamson that I liked from Akeelah and the Bee: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." I thought that this quote is worth sharing.
It's the beginning of the month, which means payday and time to pay the bills...
Note: So far I have learned how to add italics, bold, and hyperlinks with html, so you will see a lot of these in my posts.
