Homework & an Online Card Class

I have squeezed in some crafty time this week. Monday evening with my monthly Stamp Club. Here is the sketch that we used for our "homework":

For my first attempt at the sketch, I was hesitant to use more than one patterned paper. This is the first card that I made from the sketch:

This week I have also been taking my first Online Card Class called Pattern Play. After watching the videos from Day 1, I had more ideas about how to approach this sketch. My second card uses multiple patterned papers from the Stampin' Up Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack and some inked edges to help separate the patterns. I also enjoy using this Hero Arts Mother's Day stamp.

I am really impressed with the all of the content in the class. Once I finish this class, I will have to decide which Online Card Class to take next. :)

Please leave me a comment - Do you prefer the card with just one patterned paper or multiple patterns?

I totally love your card. The second card has so much more interest. You did an excellent job.

I loved the first card at class, but the second card is much more awesome! I love the idea of using multiple patterns. Can't wait to see what you come up with next month!

Thanks for the comments! I am taking the Pattern Play class on Online Card Classes. After the class ends, I will still have access to the class material. There is so much content that it will take me more than a week to work through it all!

I was trying to link Online Card Classes, but my very basic html skills are rusty.

I am always so impressed with your creativity! Both cards are lovely but I do think the second card is more visually interesting (even though I, too, would have been hesitant to mix patterns at first). Can't wait to see more of your work!
